Five men stabbed after fight broke out at a party

Five men were stabbed and a sixth suffered serious head injuries after a fight broke out at a birthday party.



The incident happened in a house at Deer Park Avenue, Tallaght, Dublin, at about 4.20am.



Gardai said five men - three in their late teens, one in his 20s and one in his 40s - were taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital with suspected stab wounds following the altercation at the 18th birthday party.



A sixth man, aged in his 30s, was taken to St James Hospital with head injuries.



It is understood some of the injured are in a serious but stable condition.



The scene has been preserved pending technical examination and inquiries are ongoing.



Gardai have appealed for information.
