Speaking outside the company's office yesterday, Alison Ferns said she paid all her bills with the company.

"I had the mortgage with them, the gas, the ESB, VHI, car tax, car insurance and they look after that," she said.

"If I get any bills I send them in and they pay them for me."

She also said she had about €2,000 in savings with them.

Martina Guest was about to go into the company and pay them yesterday when she heard the news.

"I was about to pay my bills and I've discovered now it's gone into liquidation.

"I'm absolutely devastated that they are gone because I have two weeks' money here now and I don't know where I'm going to go with my bills. I don't know what I'm going to do."

A caller to RTE's Liveline named Margaret said a collector called to her house on Tuesday to collect contributions which amounted to €580.

"He took the money and never said anything," she said.
