Female pedestrian killed when she was struck by a truck

Gardai have appealed for witnesses after a fatal stabbing in Waterford.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses in relation to the fatal accident.

A female pedestrian in her mid 50s was killed when she was struck by a articulated truck.

Gardaí are investigating the fatal accident which occured in on Slievenamon Road in Thurles, Co Tipperary at around noon today.

The road is currently closed for a garda forensic collision investigation, and local diversions are in place.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.

The woman's body was removed to Mid Western Regional Hospital, Limerick where a post mortem will take place.
