Fashion police catch dress thief in her stolen dress on Ladies Day at the races

local boutique owners Dan Nolan and Diane Jeffers from Jasmin Tralee stand by their CCTV set in the store . Fashion-conscious gardaí were on the lookout during Listowel Races in Listowel Co Kerry one of the biggest - and best dressed - days of the year, after being alerted that a stylish 800 number had disappeared from a local boutique called Jasmin , the previous week. But store owners spotted the lady at the races and called in the Guards .

The fashion police swooped to recover an €800 dress stolen from a boutique – while it was being worn to Listowel Races ladies' day by the fashion-conscious thief.

The distinctive stocking dress with Swarovski crystals had been stolen from Jasmine in Tralee, Co Kerry, earlier this month.

Jasmine owners Diane Jeffers and her husband Dan Nolan launched a Facebook campaign asking people to contact them if they saw anyone wearing it.
