Farmer killed and his twin brother injured in suspected bull attack

A FARMER has died in a suspected bull attack in Co Donegal.

The victim, in his 60s, were found in a field on his farm between Burt and Newtowncunningham at about 2.30pm today.

It is understood his twin brother was also gored by the bull in the attack, and the man is in a serious condition in Letterkenny Hospital.

Gardai remain at the scene and are carrying out an investigation on behalf of the coroner.

A formal investigation has been launched by the Health and Safety Authority.

"Everyone is in total shock," said one neighbour who knew the dead man well.

"It appears he was charged by a bull. He died there in the field."
