It has been ten weeks since Dean Roche was last seen but his family have not yet given up hope, posting on Facebook that they had been in touch with a medium who had helped them connect Dean and gave them his location.

“We have met with a medium who helped us connect with Dean and gave us the location of his whereabouts. We would like to thank her greatly for her time and dedication,” a family member posted on the Facebook page ‘Dean Roche Missing Person Kilkenny’.

“It's been 10 weeks Dean. Start of another month without you. You have been missing since March then came April then May and now June. You deserve to be found so hopefully it will be soon!,” they added.

The 31-year-old left his mother home in Kilkenny City on Sunday March 22 to purchase a new car and has not been seen since.

His new vehicle was found crashed near to the site in Ballybofey, just north of Kilkenny, where he bought it.

The father-of-one had been living with his mother since the break up of his relationship with the mother of his 10-year-old son Jamie.

Speaking to the Irish Daily Mirror, his grief stricken mother Geraldine Roche (57) said she believed her son had been murdered over a “few hundred euro.”

“It’s a mother’s intuition… I believe someone did something to him, someone must have attacked him,” she said.

“He had cash on him that day. The car was about €200 or so only, it was a banged-up old car that he just needed to get around.”

““But Dean would have had a substantial amount of money on him when he left maybe about €900.”

“So I think someone took his money and killed him.”

Ms Roche told the Irish Daily Mirror that she had given up hope of finding him alive and she just wants to “bring him home”.

When last seen wearing a black zip up tracksuit top and bottoms with white runners, Mr Roche has been described as being 5’ 8’’ tall, of slight build, with green eyes and short brown hair.

Anyone with any information on Dean’s whereabouts is asked to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 7775000, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
