A FAMILY of four have escaped injury after a suspected arson attack at their home.
The incident happened at a house in the Craighill area of Ballycraigy, Antrim during the early hours of this morning.
A boat at the front of the house was set alight. The fire spread to a second boat which was parked nearby. Two front windows of the family home were damaged by the heat from the flames.
Two adults - a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s - and their two children, aged five and two years old, who were in the house at the time were not injured.
A spokeswoman for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said crews in three appliances from Antrim and Ballymena were called to the scene just after 1.30am.
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is being dealt with by the PSNI.
A spokeswoman for the police said they believe the fire was started deliberately.
