Extra buses for revellers

CHRISTMAS revellers in the capital can use the bus or Luas to get home, with late-night services being offered from tonight.

Dublin Bus said all 18 Nitelink routes will have extra services running this weekend and every night from next Tuesday until the following Sunday.

Tickets cost €5. Further information is available at www.dublinbus.ie

Luas customers on the Green line can also use the Night Luas service from tonight, with trams running from St Stephen's Green to Brides Glen every half hour between 1am and 3.30am. The service runs on Friday and Saturday nights, and on New Year's Eve. Tickets cost €4. But there will be no Night Luas on the Red line.

Nightrider services will be offered from Dublin to Balbriggan, Drogheda, Dunshaughlin, Navan, Naas, Newsbridge and Clane over the period.
