Ex-IFA boss in election quiz
FORMER IFA president John Dillon has been referred to the gardai by the state elections watchdog for failing to provide information about his Seanad election campaign.
Mr Dillon was one of 117 unsuccessful candidates for the Seanad who was obliged to supply details of election donations by April 22 last.
But he and six others who failed to do so have been referred to the gardai by the Standards in Public Office Commission. It said it usually did not refer such cases unless the donation statement remained outstanding after a significant period of time.
