The end of the summer holidays is in sight.
As soon as August comes around, parents are preparing for the return to school of their children – and for some, it’s the transition to secondary school and others, it’s starting primary school. Some parents already have uniforms, books, stationery, etc. bought and some will leave until the last minute.
Our back to school special is for all parents and is more of a practical guide for this important time, with less focus on saving costs and more on all other areas of preparation for both parents and children.
We look at some of the hidden costs of primary school education, the social etiquette - rules for parties, play dates and at the school gates.
You’ll find essential nutrition advice and a seven-day plan for breakfast, lunch and snack options from Rozanne Stevens.
We ask how many activities should your primary school child be doing and preview what they will be learn, class by class, so that you can help with their homework. Plus David Coleman on how to prepare your family for the transition.
