Enrika was not only my cousin, she was my best friend, girl tells mourners
THE niece and cousin of the victims of a double murder has appealed to mourners at a memorial Mass to remember them for what they were – two beautiful, wonderful angels.
Levita Monica (12) said she was proud to call Jolanta Lubiene her aunt and so happy that Enrika (8) was her cousin and that she would never forget them.
"Enrika was not only my cousin, she was my best friend. She made my heart complete. She was a little chatterbox and she loved her school and her friends,"
She described her cousin as being "as sweet as sugar" and as "bright as the sun".
She said Jolanta was not only a wonderful aunt but also a great mum, sister, wife, daughter and friend.
"She was a very funny person who never stopped smiling," she recalled.
She said she would always remember them as happy, wonderful people and she asked everyone else to remember them in the same way.
Over 1,000 people packed into St James's Church in Killorglin, Co Kerry, last night to remember the mother and daughter whose lives ended so tragically on Saturday.
The mourners were led by Marius Lubys, the father and husband of the victims, and by her sister Kristina and her husband Vaidas Kulevicius and their children.
Enrika's classmates from second class at Scoil Mhuire occupied the same seats in the church as they had only a few short weeks ago when they made their First Holy Communion.
