HE may be the leader of the country, but Enda Kenny knows more than most of the importance of minding the home patch.
Despite his relentless schedule, the Taoiseach, (62) found time to make it to O'Moore Park, Portlaoise on Saturday to watch his local team Castlebar Mitchels defeat Dr Crokes in the All-Ireland Club senior football semi-final. Wrapped up well, with a heavy duty coat and hat, Mr Kenny appeared in high spirits, mingling freely with supporters as they cheered the victorious team off the field of battle.
Mr Kenny was also spotted alongside GAA Presidential Candidate Sean Walsh as Mitchels won out by 2-13 to 1-11.
