Emergency services rescue woman from River Liffey

A WOMAN has been rescued from the River Liffey by Dublin Fire Brigade in the last hour.

The woman is believed to have been struggling in the river near Heuston Station shortly after 9:30pm.

It is as of yet not understood how the woman came into difficulty.

Three units of of Dublin Fire Brigade and an ambulance arrived on the scene from Dolphin's Barn and Pearse Street at 9:40pm.

The woman was rescued from the water and is now understood to be in a stable condition after she was taken to the Mater Hospital with hypothermia.
