Firefighters are battling a huge blaze on a farm in north county Dublin.

Several units of Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) are attending the scene of blaze at Kinsealy Lane, close to Malahide.

They said that between 400 and 500 bales of hay have caught fire and close to Chapel Road.

Two motors, the environmental unit and the District Officer are currently at the scene.

DFB said the fire was reported to them at 7pm and that their personnel arrived at the scene 10 minutes later.

The firefighters are still at the scene and the incident is ongoing.

DFB confirmed to Independent.ie there are no injuries.
