STYLIST Brendan Courtney has encouraged Kate Middleton to embrace her bump and avoid wearing "tent-like" clothing during her pregnancy, writes Laura Butler.
The 'Off The Rails' host told the Irish Independent that the Duchess of Cambridge should make the most of the coming months.
"The days of hiding a bump are long gone. Women wore maternity dresses because they were embarrassed about being big, but Kate should enjoy it – and eat for two as well," he said.
"She should show it off big time. When you're young and body-confident, embrace it. It's a beautiful thing seeing a woman who's pregnant, especially in that blooming period."
Dressing during pregnancy is something on Courtney's mind at the moment. Having recently released a style guide for Irish women with his RTE co-presenter Sonya Lennon, he's already on to their next literary project. The fashionable duo have teamed up again to write 'How to Look Good Pregnant'.
The presenter was at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin yesterday for the launch of the annual VSO volunteer group Fashion Lunch, which will take place on December 19.
