Wicklow electoral area: Latest updates

Independents are looking good to make serious gains across the five electoral areas here.
Labour are facing calamity with only 3pc of the vote and just marginally ahead of the Greens. Fianna Fail and fine Gael battling it out for a number of seats on 19pc and 20pc of the vote share respectively.
Two FF candidates in Arklow, Pat Kennedy and sitting Cllr Pat Fitzgerald, look on course to be the first home. Harder to call after that with a large chasing pack which includes sitting Cllr Jimmy O'Shaughnessy. Tom Curran is in a dogfight for the final seat according to tallies.
Similarly Edward Timmins and Tommy Cullen will hold onto their seats in Baltinglass with Independent Jim Ruttle behind them. SF will be confident of a seat with Gerry O'Neill appearing to poll very well.
