Counting is continuing to fill the remaining three seats on the new merged council.

So far Fianna Fáil has eleven seats while Fine Gael has twelve.

Sinn Fein has seen five of its six candidates elected and the party could still take a sixth seat in the Adare-Rathkeale electoral area.

The Labour Party has three seats with no candidates left in the running while the Anti Austerity Alliance Party also saw three councillors elected and its final candidate now been eliminated.
