The European elections are turning into a three-horse race in Kerry with only three candidates featuring on the tallies.
At lunchtime Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly was ahead at 33pc, followed by Fianna Fáil's Brian Crowley at 28pc.
Newcomer, Sinn Fein's Liadh Ni Riada was polling strongly at 19pc and was inflicting damage on Sean Kelly's share.
Kelly is the only Kerry candidate but one observer said he would have expected to be on around 40pc at this stage.
Fine Gael's other candidates, Deirdre Clune and Simon Harris are at 3pc and 1pc respectively while Phil Prendergast is at 6pc.
