Luke 'Ming' Flanagan is expected to top the poll.

Sitting MEP Marian Harkin, who is also an Independent candidate, said a lot of her vote was "hoovered" up by the Dail Deputy.

“I will be expecting they will have it around 3pm. We’ll at least know whether I’m in a good, indifferent, or bad position. We won’t know until we see the figures. “

“Obviously a lot of the vote was hovered up by Ming but we’ll see what’s left.”
