COUNCILLORS face an anxious wait as the Dun Laoghaire electoral area for Dun Laoghaire - Rathdown count is postponed for up to three days.
The recount was called by Jane Dillion Byrne of Labour after she missed out on the final seat in the 15th count.
She challenged the vote as there was a just a difference of around 20 votes between her and Mary Fayne of Fine Gael.
John Bailey, Fine Gael, and Cormac Devlin, Fianna Fail have been deemed elected but not formally declared.
A returning officer said the count will resume in two to three days. There is reportedly a lack of staff to count votes for the ward.
