FAMILIES of victims of homicide have urged the next government to introduce reforms it claims will lead to a "rebalanced justice system".
Advocates for Victims of Homicides Ireland (ADVIC) last night launched its election manifesto calling on political parties to remove judges' discretion on concurrent sentencing for unlawful killings.
The group has also called for a review of Ireland's bail laws and the introduction of mandatory minimum tariffs for certain crimes.
