HSE criticised by FF minister

CHILDREN'S Minister Barry Andrews yesterday criticised the HSE for failing to publicise that 200 more social workers were hired last year.

He said he had implored the HSE to "shout it from the rooftops" but claimed that it had refused to do so because it was afraid of "getting a hard time".

Speaking at a meeting of health professionals in Dublin, Mr Andrews said the HSE was a "work in progress" which was entitled to complete 10 years of reform.
