COUNCILLORS face an anxious wait as a count has been postponed for up to three days to hire more staff.
A decision was made to adjourn the Dun Laoghaire electoral area for Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Council last night after a recount was called.
A returning officer said the count will resume in two to three days to allow time to get more staff.
The recount was called by Jane Dillon Byrne of Labour after she missed out on the final seat in the 15th count.
She challenged the vote as there was just a difference of around 20 votes between her and Mary Fayne of Fine Gael.
John Bailey of Fine Gael and Cormac Devlin of Fianna Fail have been deemed elected but not formally declared.
