VIDEO: First time election candidate who could potentially take Minister's seat: 'I'm just enjoying the experience'
TALLIES show Social Democrat candidate Gary Gannon could take a seat from Transport Minister Pascal Donoghue in Dublin Central but he says it's too early to predict anything.
"I'm actually just enjoying the experience, I'm just walking around getting a flavour for the RDS, this is my first general election so I'm just taking it all in, I've no idea how it's going to go but I've loved the experience so far," he told Independent.ie
However, he admitted he was aware of early results - "We are in the mix, it's still early days. We're happy with the votes so far.
Asked what had resonated with the voters in the constituency to show such an early promising vote, Gannon said:
"We haven't altered our message one bit, it was very simple, we proposed a new of politics and we've stuck to that. The integrity of the three years has really shone through and that's resonated on the doors".
