Dublin Mid-West candidate Joanne Tuffy spoke of her disappointment following the loss of her seat today.
“I’ve very disappointed and I’m very disappointed for my colleagues. I feel very sorry for my colleagues who have lost seats”.
The former TD said her first plan of action is to take down her posters and keep them “in case there’s another election”.
Quizzed on whether Labour party leader Joan Burton was in danger of losing her position at the top of the party Tuffy said, “There’s not even a thought in my head about that. It’s not my consideration right now. I’m just thinking about all of us in labour to pull together and take stock.”
