Gardai investigating a gun murder 18 months ago have arrested a 23-year-old suspect.
The man was detained in Co Wexford and was being questioned last night at Ronanstown garda station about the shooting of 20-year-old Dean Johnston in west Dublin. He is the eighth suspect to be arrested.
Detectives believe Mr Johnston's murder is linked to a feud in the Neilstown area.
He was hit in the head and shoulder when the gunman fired five shots through a rear window as he sat in a friend's car close to his home at Moorefield Avenue in May 2011.
The two prime suspects were arrested a year ago and released without charge.
Gardai are currently preparing a file on the case for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
