Teachers and schools have been given the building blocks to encourage hands on learning of Stem subjects in the classroom at the new Lego Education Innovation Studio.

Opened by Jesper Just Jensen, LEGO Education's lead on innovation, and Professor Brian MacCraith, president of DCU, the studio will act as a dedicated interactive learning hub to help student teachers to develop teamwork in their pupils, engage in critical thinking, problem-solving and skilled communication.

The students work together to explore a given topic and to design, build and programme an autonomous LEGO robot to solve a series of missions.
