Mayo football star Sarah Rowe has joined forces with DCU to highlight the university's Access Telethon, which is taking place from May 22 to June 10.

The DCU Access programme is Ireland's oldest and largest university access programme - it has helped more than 3,000 students from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds access third-level education since 1990.

The programme provides a range of supports that include an annual scholarship, an orientation week before university begins, additional tuition and one-to-one mentoring.

Those who would like to support the Access Scholarship Programme can visit www.dcu.ie/telethon for more information.
