Ministerial changes catered for

Frances Fitzgerald was Minister for Children and Family Affairs at the time the Civic Social and Political Education (CSPE) paper was set. By yesterday's exam she was Minister for Justice and featured in a question where candidates were asked to match the title of each politician with a photograph.
So, before students started writing, exam superintendents had to clarify that the former role of any of the four ministers would be acceptable.
The paper went down well, however, with Brendan O'Regan of the CSPE Teachers Association saying it was balanced and diverse, and covered topical issues such as cyber-bullying and the recent elections.
