Post-Leaving Cert results queries continued to flood into the National Parents Council post primary (NPCpp) helpline yesterday, with almost 250 calls bringing the total since Wednesday to nearly 1,000.
Concerns from the, mainly parents who called were maths fails, seeking a recheck of an exam grade and the CAO processes. The freephone line - 1800 265 165 - will reopen on Monday at 8am, after the CAO has released the Round One offers.
The helpline is sponsored by the Irish Independent, Eircom and the Department of Education and is staffed by members of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors.
