Fair and well balanced, with a reasonable choice in each section, was how teacher Sean Delap described the Leaving Certificate History Higher Level paper.
Mr Delap of the Institute of Education, Dublin, said It should have posed few problems for students that prepared well for the exam.
He said the question on the Nuremberg Rallies was very straightforward, and part 4 of question was particularly nice and clear.
No surprise that in Section 2, Irish History, 1916 came up and he said “it would have been would have been welcomed by many in the year that's in it!”
Mr Delap said the section on Europe and the wider world was a little more testing. While there was a nice question on the moon landing, “ the comparison questions were a bit more challenging, “ he said.
