Can college graduates answer these classic Leaving Certificate questions?

Almost 60,000 students across the country recently sat their final state examinations,.

The question is, are we taught purely for regurgitating answers in the exams? Or do we actually retain the knowledge acquired?

Armed with five questions, we tested college graduates on their knowledge of Leaving Certificate material - with interesting results.

Questions:

What is the liquid part of blood called?

Who wrote To Kill A Mockingbird?
What do people from Flanders speak?

What is an acute angle?

When did the War of Independence start?
