Ecstasy link to clubbers' deaths

TWO clubbers suspected of taking ecstasy have died after separate dance music events at London's Alexandra Palace over the weekend.

The men, aged 20 and 21, were admitted to a north London hospital yesterday and were pronounced dead within seven hours of each other.

WHO says 'Frosty the Snowman' has to be jolly? A man in a 'Frosty the Snowman' costume was arrested during the annual Christmas parade in Chestertown, Maryland, yesterday. He's accused of scuffling with police and kicking at a police dog.

Kevin Michael Walsh (52) allegedly became agitated when a dog-handling officer tried to escort him away from the crowd.

A TEENAGER suffered burns to his hands when a "deactivated" mortar shell he bought online blew up.

Luke Stillman (16), from Northamptonshire, bought the Spanish 81mm mortar from a website advertising specialist auction material.

Hotel told to ban cat purr-ivileges

AN 80-year-old tradition whereby cats have had the run of New York City's Algonquin Hotel has been ended by health inspectors.

Inspectors banned the latest cat, Matilda, from roaming the lobby because pets are not allowed in areas where food is served. The blue-eyed cat took up residence last winter and is the 10th Algonquin cat since 1932.

Nazi bell has bad ring for tourist

A GERMAN state governor is asking a tiny town to remove a bell decorated with swastikas and Hermann Goering's name from its memorial to Germany's war dead after a tourist complained.

The bell was donated by Goering to the town of Tuemlauer-Koog and had hung in the town's belltower, but it was replaced in 2008 and moved to the memorial.

Passenger held on child porn charge

A MAN has been arrested after allegedly viewing child porn on a flight from Salt Lake City to Boston.

Grant Smith (47), of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, was in first class when a passenger saw the pornographic images on Smith's laptop and alerted crew. He will appear in court today charged with possession of child porn.
