SOCIALITE Kieron 'Wolf' Ducie has been charged with beating up his partner at their home.

The 41-year-old, who was a friend of tragic model Katy French, appeared at Trim District Court yesterday, accused of assault causing harm to his girlfriend Elaine Buggle.

The assault is alleged to have occurred at his home in Lambertstown Manor, Kilmessan, Co Meath, on January 14.

Judge Patrick Clyne heard that Mr Ducie was arrested yesterday morning at Stonehaven, Ashbourne, Co Meath -- the address of his parents -- and brought to Trim garda station.

Garda Edel Dugdale gave evidence of the arrest, charge and caution. She told the court that when the charge was put to Mr Ducie he made no reply.

The accused did not speak during the brief hearing. Ms Buggle was not in court.

Mr Ducie's barrister asked for his client to be freed on bail.

Gardai did not object to the application but insisted that a condition be attached relating to the alleged injured party.

Arrested

Judge Clyne remanded Mr Ducie on his own bond of €1,000 to appear again at Trim District Court on March 24.

He directed that Mr Ducie have "no contact of any kind" with Ms Buggle.

Mr Ducie fathered a child with Ms Buggle last year.

Judge Clyne directed that Mr Ducie could have access to the baby boy, but only by prior arrangement.

The hearing was over in less than 10 minutes.

Prior to getting into a relationship with Ms Buggle, Mr Ducie had lived with accountant Ann Corcoran for a number of years.

He was also previously married to another woman.

Mr Ducie, whose family own a large haulage and scrap-metal business, is well-known on Dublin's nightclub circuit and has been photographed in the company of several models, including the late Ms French.

Guests at his 40th birthday celebrations in a Co Meath nightclub included Calum Best, the son of the late soccer star George Best, porn actress Tanya Tate and 'Big Brother' contestant Noirin Kelly.
