Dubs' dressing room burgled

The Dublin footballers returned to their dressing room after their defeat to Westmeath in Mullingar last night to discover that equipment and personal items had been stolen.

Dublin manager Pat Gilroy confirmed that their dressing room had been broken into as the O'Byrne Cup first round fixture was being played in St Loman's Park on the outskirts of Mullingar.

"A good bit of equipment has been taken. One of the players has had everything taken. Everyone is checking to see what else is gone," said Mr Gilroy. "It's disappointing that this should happen at an inter-county fixture."
