Members of the Irish naval service aboard the LE Orla arrested the vessel in the Irish Sea after it was boarded for inspection during a routine fisheries protection patrol.

The vessel and its crew were later escorted into Howth, where they were met by gardai and officials at around 6pm.

It is understood less then 10 crew members were on board and the majority were Egyptian.
