Speculation is rife about the identity of Ireland's latest Lotto multi-millionaire in the Dublin shop which sold the winning ticket.
The €5.5m jackpot-winning ticket was bought on Saturday in a Spar shop (pictured) on Upper Baggot Street.
Staff member Kieron Connolly (22) said: "People have been coming into the shop and asking about the win.
"But it's still not known who won. There has been a bit of a buzz around the place all day. It has certainly put a bit of excitement into the day."
With hundreds of people passing through the shop each day, shop workers are hoping the lucky winner is one of their regular customers.
Mr Connolly added: "We have a lot of regular customers who buy their Lotto tickets and we're hoping it's one of them.
"During the week, quite a lot of office workers come in to buy tickets. And there are a lot of builders coming in lately, so it could be anyone. We are all wondering who it could be."
Fellow staff member Ali Aamir (26) said he had checked a number of Lotto tickets for customers during the day but they weren't the winners.
"People have been coming in, asking if this is the shop," said Mr Aamir.
A Lotto spokeswoman confirmed yesterday that there was just one winning ticket in the Saturday night draw for €5,544,864.
The winning numbers were 8, 15, 17, 22, 34, and 38 and the bonus was 10.
There were no winners of the top prizes in the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draws.
