Dublin Fire Brigade has warned against setting fires in dry vegetation areas after battling a large fire at a golf course.

Firefighters were called to the Portmarnock golf course after a camp fire spread on Monday evening.

The emergency service appealed to the public to be careful with fires near the beach as the grass can easily catch fire.

The fire has since been extinguished by the firefighters.
