Hi °C | Lo °C A driver was killed when he crashed his car in the early hours of the morning.
The 31-year-old died at the scene of the collision between Balrobuck Beg and Balrobuck More, just off the Headford to Galway road, sometime before 2.45am on Tuesday.
The road remains closed for a forensic examination and gardai, who are trying establish the exact time of the accident, have appealed to anyone in the area overnight to come forward.
The accident happened about six miles outside Galway city.
