Dramatic pictures have emerged of a renowned Dublin pub up in flames.
Five units of the Dublin Fire Brigade were called to The Cuckoos Nest on Greenhills Road in Tallaght at approximately 10pm on Sunday night.
The fire at a unit at the rear of the pub, which closed in 2015, was under control by 11:30pm.
It is unclear what caused the fire in the now derelict building.
A spokesperson for the Dublin Fire Brigadetold independent.ie: "We had five units at the scene which was under control by about 11:30pm. We had cleared the scene at the empty building by midnight. The fire was at a unit within the bar complex."
There were no injuries.
This morning the scene remained preserved by Gardai pending a technical examination to determine the cause of the fire.
At 9am, a Dublin Fire Brigade tender was called back to the scene and more water was pumped onto the smouldering timbers to stop the fire reigniting and spreading and to allow the garda team investigate the site.
A section of the roof at the back of the once-popular pub could be seen to have collapsed in the blaze.
Smoke was still rising from the building as the investigation into the fire got underway.
The nearby Tallaght Theatre was not affected by the fire.
The Cuckoos Nest was bought by the Lynch family in 1962 and ceased trading in May 2015.
