Double boost in our bid for bank debt deal

TAOISEACH Enda Kenny has received a double boost as he presses EU leaders to keep their promise on a bank debt deal.

International ratings agency Fitch signalled in an interview with Dow Jones it may soon remove its negative view on lending money to Ireland.

And European Commissioner Olli Rehn said Ireland was "making progress" in negotiations on a bank-debt deal.
