Dentist faces sex assault trial

A DENTIST charged with two counts of sexually assaulting a woman will face trial next year, writes Ralph Riegel.

Dr John Tait (58), is charged with two counts of sexually assaulting the woman on December 20, 2006.

The offences are alleged to have occurred at 6 St Patrick's Terrace, Douglas, Cork, where Dr Tait has a business premises.

The case was adjourned yesterday by Cork Circuit Criminal Court until its first session next year.

Dr Tait of Glen House, Upper Rochestown, Cork, made no reply to gardai when charged with the alleged offences at Togher garda station.
