FAILTE Ireland will decide this month whether to close one of its best-known tourist centres in Dublin.
The Discover Ireland Centre, housed in the former St Andrew's Church on Suffolk Street, will either undergo refurbishment or be relocated to another city centre premises.
A spokesman for the tourism body said the building in its current state was not suitable and a decision would be made on its future in the coming weeks. The centre opened at the location in 1996.
A number of traders with concession stands in the centre, some of whom had been there for over a decade, had until yesterday to vacate the premises.
