Day of football and fun to help brave Isabella
A DAY of craic and soccer while raising funds for "the bravest girl in the world" is promised by the organisers of Football for Isabella.
Isabella Villena (2) suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Aicardi Syndrome. She is nearly blind and suffers from seizures, but is a source of great joy to her brother Alex and her parents Sam and Fran.
But her care is costly, so her uncle Tom Hogan has organised a charity game in Tolka Park, Dublin, on July 13.
A host of clubs from the UCFL (United Churches Football League) will be playing. Tickets are €5 and there will be an after-match event at Iveagh House, Drumcondra.
