A man is believed to have collapsed on the tracks following a diabetic attack

DART services between Dalkey and Greystones were brought to a halt for 30 minutes after a driver noticed a man lying across the track.

The incident involved the 18:55 service from Bray to Malahide and occurred between Shankhill and Killiney.

After the driver had stopped the dart and had spoken to the man, he alerted the emergency services.

A spokesperson for the Dublin Fire Brigade said he understood that the man may have suffered a diabetic attack and had collapsed on the tracks.

Services have resumed with delays of 30 minutes but they are expected to ease.
