Potential dancers are being urged to embrace the 'country' look for an attempt to set an Irish record at the Gain Irish St Leger race day on Sunday next.

So far, more than 400 people have confessed they still have a gra for line-dancing and have signed up for the bid.

Organisers have told people they don't have to have any dancing experience to register at and strut their stuff to Shania Twin's 'From This Moment'.

Line-dancing teacher, Sharon Kelly, from the Liffey Liners dance troupe, said they were getting a "marvellous" response and the dance steps were easy enough for anyone to do it.
