CITY and country boundaries crossed as a Friesian cow took shoppers by surprise by taking a walk down Grafton Street.

Damian Kearney and Stephen Jones brought Rhonda the dairy cow for a stroll through the famous thoroughfare yesterday as they promoted Marie Jones's award-winning play 'Stones in his Pockets' in which they both star.

Dressed in country attire, early morning shoppers thought the pair of farmers had gotten lost but in reality, they were out and about to advertise for the renowned play, which is currently running in the Gaiety Theatre.

Cows are mentioned 20 times in Ms Jones's play, which sees a rural community turned upside down with the arrival of a Hollywood movie set.
