Like father, like son. MMA champion Conor McGregor is flying high after his partner Dee Devlin gave birth to their son Conor Jack McGregor over the weekend.

The mixed-martial artist is confident his son already has what it takes to become a champion and follow in his footsteps.

The Crumlin, Dublin, native shared a picture of his son on social media and captioned it: "We can land the left paw from anywhere. Who wants it."

McGregor said he is "proud and blessed".

McGregor announced late last year he and Dee, who have been together for more than eight years, would be welcoming their first child.

He also expressed fears for his baby's safety in public and warned fans not to mob him on the street.

"I'm not trying to bring a kid into that. If someone comes near me when I have my kid in my hands, like the way they come near me now, looking for pictures, someone's gonna be badly hurt," he told 'GQ' magazine.
