Bill Cullen has described the Government's recent communications record as "a disaster".
But the millionaire, who stars in the Irish version of 'The Apprentice' television show, said the time for blame had passed and action was required instead.
"It's been a disaster," he said of the Government's handling of the communications side of the IMF bailout.
"I don't know why we shouldn't have expected that with the trail of the past and what has happened in the past."
Cullen was speaking as he put the Palestrina choir of the Pro-Cathedral in Dublin through their paces ahead of their annual carol concert in National Concert Hall on December 2.
"My father was the sacristan here for 40 years, I was an altar boy," he said.
