BUSINESSMAN Bill Cullen has rowed in behind Grainne Seoige and agreed with her that staff in RTE don't work want to work.
The former ITV 'Daybreak' star had claimed that the reason RTE didn't make breakfast TV was because "people didn't want to work".
RTE unions were outraged at the comments but Cullen agrees.
"They don't work in RTE. There are two-and-a-half thousand of them," he said. "What do they do? There could be less of them. RTE is overstaffed. You compare that to TV3 with 200 people. RTE have 2,500. What's the difference? Where is it going?," he asked at the launch of the fourth series of 'The Apprentice' yesterday.
Sixteen hopefuls will battle it out in the new season of 'The Apprentice' which begins next Monday on TV3 at 9pm.
But in a change this year, the winner will end up as a 50/50 business partner of Cullen and receive a cash prize of €100,000, alongside a start-up package worth an additional €100,000.
